And they’re right next to me.

There were thoughts of filling this with a little more substance and they were summarily disregarded. It’s going now, or never.

Smaller post means less content, but there is still plenty to read. From quantum physics ruining your day [again] to problems with traffic systems, from GPS screw-ups to the end of the internet, real life with internet lag to future seeking movies, photography to the art of making a globe map, fish that walk and horoscopes. So let’s keep it short and jump in:

Did Megaman just make a Hadouken?

Let’s get this in a day earlier this week, hmm? There’s plenty in here again. Maybe we can get a regular schedule going sometime, twice a week maybe? Just when exactly is the big question. Stupid workloads.

Included is a lot of art and design stuff this week. Why exactly is not really known, it just is. Topics range through cuss words, fancy jewellery, the ever-present horoscopes, the Big G’s glass again, baseball games, printing houses, strategy games, video cameras, pranks that are actually funny, fan films about games, tech cycles and reality, European monuments, games on buildings, mirror images, behind the scenes from movie sets, erosion and porcelain, new fonts from old and we start, revisit and end with something about the latest foul up on the internet. Dig in:

I know! How amazing is this!

Well, there goes another week. It’s a touch absurd really. No matter how much you try to get things done beforehand, the weekend creeps on. All inexorable like. Whatever.

There’s a lot of stuff following this bit of drivel: a whole panoply of interesting and boring, of fantastical and mundane. And maybe there will be a magic show afterwards to which all these fancy words actually apply. Maths, pachyderms, holes, statues, cakes, racing, slavery, medicine, movies, fools, installations, foretellings, advice, communications, automatons, questions, developers, and extra-terrestrial life — it’s all in here, so dive in and eat up:

I backed the Kickstarter

Once again it’s a long slog between. Not too long, but not short enough. Plans are made and plans are discarded. It’s what life does when it interferes in people living.

This post has been plumped somewhat sufficiently to make up for it though: fashion, motor vehicles, video games, animated entertainment, world friendly energy, photography, digital art, gaming hardware, surveillance [like always], cyberpunk, music parodies, 3d printing, astronomy, astrology, girls of the female persuasion, robotics, life advice, and more I’m sure I’ve not covered in that brief run down. There’s not as much humour, but enjoy it anyway:

And one final one because this is how all proper-thinking people feel about it:

It’s an underwater level

It has been a good week for reading; so much that was actually interesting and so little kerfuffle about previously noisy and annoying things. Not that any of them are more important or unimportant compared to the others; rather that it has been a nice change of pace for it all.

Anywa, we have things here about the Olympics [I can still use that word, right?], lots and lots and lots of 3d printing, cinema awards, gemstones, mobile gaming, software updates, weather, subway station remodelling, music and mashups, vehicles, the alphabet [sort of], uplifting things and depressing things, prehistoria unveiled, magicians and murder, webcomics and the rise of civilisations. Dive in, eat up and laugh loudly:
