And we’re back. Not on schedule, because that is something that will never happen, and everybody knows it. Instead we have a smattering of articles from the past few weeks. It has been a strange week on the home front. So rather than delving into that, we’re going to jump right into what’s collected here. Hopefully it’s not too heavy.

There’s loads about the NSA, which up until now has been avoided as a topic of discussion, but it’s everywhere of late, so the smarter side of it is here also. A couple of music videos, some things about games — virtual and tabletop, horoscopes, a couple of anomalies in the natural world, how glass measures up in nature, something about translators, the questions a slave gets asked by modern people, Monty Python Lego sets, ornithopters that actually work, optical illusions, a Lord of the Flies scenario, the rush to create secure email, a video about a fox, and a nice little finisher with job applications with a twist. First up though is an artist’s collaboration with her daughter:
