Well, there’s been a lot read and a lot discarded over the past week. And a lot has been linked below. Perhaps a little excessive, most likely just excited.
So, let’s dig into everything from monkeys to spiders, from satellites to automatons, from doctors to bus drivers, from videos to headphones, from plants to skeletons, from donuts to clean water, from videogames to obsolete computers, from Alzheimers to neuroscience, from criminals to references, from crabs to talking plants, from holograms to algorithms, and finishing off with somebody’s take on how we see Christmas:
Once again, the date this was supposed to be posted has passed; the days slip away as we draw into a beautiful, and hot, Summer.
Lots of things happened over the weekend, Doctor Who being one of the biggest in some places and circles. Anywa, into it today with all sorts of things: time pieces that don’t tell the time, ways to escape working, surveillance in the city, cities on water, the rise of artificial intelligence, autonomous robots with guns, phones [and] sex, tiny computers, virtual money, and the Addams Family! There’s always the intention of posting more regularly, of making sure something is up every couple of days. And then sometimes it just doesn’t happen. Weird.
Today there’s rather a lot, but all of it fun. All mixed together are life lessons, a movie about Daria, clients being horrible, stuff famous people like Neil Gaiman, Warren Ellis and Bruce Sterling, and things about Steve Jobs, pentameter and Twitter, horoscopes, a song from the Doubleclicks, a lost and found product, automatic homes, sex and porn, Batman and it finishes off with pretty [ugly] spiders. To start us off today though, here’s things people wish were real from video games:
