Lots of games and movies to look at today. Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm comes out in a few days, gets a free 8 page comic available online and there’s even an exposition on Sun Tzu; the Deadpool game gets a new trailer; and the latest incarnation of SimCity gets itself a beatdown.
On the movie front we have a who’s who of cult cinema; Disney adds a new dimension to all their efforts; an interesting method of marketing one particular movie; and to start us off, a new trailer for Iron Man 3, I can’t wait [I might just explode!]:
Personally, I’m a big fan of the changes to SimCity. All these people who would spend all their time playing the game can now use the time they wait whilst “logging in” to finish all their household chores!
Recently this WP site has been hacked, where they change the all the user names to something else and I’m guessing change the passwords as well. This is apparently done through some method involving changing databases, which means I’m not even sure how to stop them. It’s quite annoying to have to recreate all the users and such on here each time though. What would be nice is if whoever it is stopped doing it, because really, they are just doubling the traffic this site sees anyway.
Back to the links. Instagram, North Korea, unlocking mobile phones, more on Google Glass, Darpa wants your real life logs and underwater creatures. Plenty of stuff to talk about.
What a strange few days. Lots of wet, muggy summer weather. And it’s been basically dry for the past months. Anywa, lots of links today. A couple on the new ISP monitoring occuring Stateside, a Twitter pic from Commander Hadfield, an author reading his own short stories, telepresence, a guide to working from home, and first off the ranks Atlantis?
In other news, not much happened most to most people around the world other than their usual days, of whatever that consists. At the very least they all awoke, did stuff and went back to sleep. Not necessarily in that order of course.
Today we have a mix of Star Trek, Chinese hackers, fortune telling, Google Glass, a study on porn stars and tips on how to not murder someone:
And here we are again. I’ve spent a goodly portion of time setting up tags and bullets and so on. Prettifying so to speak.
So now each tag has an icon. There are thirteen in total, including an ‘other’ icon for any tag that doesn’t fit in the other twelve. I’ll put up a guide somewhere sometime. I was hoping to put one in the side bar menu, but I’m going to have to leave it at the tag cloud.
Which leaves us here, with something a little more regular:
